Dear mrs clift,

I have learnt from kidcyber and the book called Australian heritage that it is made coral and the coral stretches for 2,000 kilometres. It can be seen from outer space and it considered to be one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World! The Great Barrier Reef is not in fact one single reef but a system of about 3 000 individual coral reefs and islands stretching from Cape York to Gladstone off the Queensland coast.

I hope you loved my discription!

Hello Everyone

Mrs Clift I went in the website kidcyber and learnt many things like it is 2, 000 kilometres long and is 180 metres high in some places.

I have also learnt that the Great Barrier Reef has been built over many years by tiny animals called polyps.

Another thing I have learnt is that the Great Barrier Reef was declared in marine park in 1976, and was listed as a World Heritage site in 1981.

The Great Barrier Reef includes over 2,900 reefs around 940 islands and cays, and stretches 2,300 kms along the Queensland coastline.

I have also learnt from kidcyber is that like any coral reef, the Great Barrier Reef can be killed because it is made up of living creatures.
