Last weekend, 36 of our students attended a workshop at Auburn Town Hall for the 2012 Heritage in Song project - Mirror.
You will recognise many of our students and teachers from Auburn and Auburn West!
Mirror, written by Jeannie Baker, is a wordless picture book which follows the lives of two children in Australia and Morocco. Although the settings are different, the children share many similarities and, despite the differences, are a mirror of each other.
This innovative and collaborative project involves students from
Auburn, Auburn West, Auburn North and Hampton Park join with the Sydney Children's Choir and are immersed in music, song, dance and drama.
The students are working towards the world premiere in September.
It is truly inspirational.
