Paul's magic show is on Tuesday 25th January2011 in Auburn Town Hall. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! Mrs Clift Good morning Stage 2,
Great job answering questions about the Great Barrier Reef. I am learning lots of interesting facts about the reef from the information you have posted in. Today's post is different. We will be using an online dictionary to find the definitions of key words. Level 1 coral, habitat, threat, mammal Level 2 colony, atoll, marine, carnivore Level 3 marine, heritage, tourism, diversity Extension Use the key words in a sentence which will blow your teacher's socks off! Remember to select and oragansie your post BEFORE you submit. Good luck. Mrs Clift, Miss Robertson, Mr Hammond and Miss Vandenberg Hi Auburn North,
I came across this fun website and thought I'd share it with you. Top 10 Paper Planes My favourite is 'The Kite' as it is so simple to make and it really flies. Enjoy! Mrs Clift Only use if you have a broadband connection as dial up will take too long to load. Hi Auburn North,
The Library is open every morning from 8.30-8.55am except for Thursday. There is so much to see and do. You can change your book, do a puzzle, learn on the computer, visit the blog, read comics, draw pictures , write stories, complete homework or simply find a nice comfortable, quiet spot to read. Parents are very welcome. Have you been to visit? What do you like to do? Mrs Clift Hi Auburn North,
It's time to reflect and share our learning. What amazing things have you been learning in class and in the Library? I had a converstation in the playground with Zahra (5B) today and she read me a wonderful poem she had found with her sister about caring for books. I hope if she is reading this post she shares it here. It made me think that perhaps there are other creative writers and thinkers out there. So what have you learnt? Post away. I look forward to reading your comments. Mrs CLift Image:careaustralia.org.au Hello Stage 3 Bloggers, Welcome back to your third and final mission. There are four challenges for you to complete this week. Remember to take notes and organise your response before you post. Good luck. Challenge One What is AusAID short for? When did the organisation become known as AusAID? Challenge Two How many countries does CARE Australia work in? Name three countries where CARE Australia does its work? Challenge Three WHO is the author and WHAT is the purpose of this website? HOW is the purpose similar or different to the AusAID website? Challenge Four Reference the Care Australia website by filling in the following fields on the Online Referencing Generator. Ok... you can copy and paste this one! Hi Everyone,
It was wonderful to have Mrs Daujotis, Mrs Shams and our Afghani mums learning word processing and computer skills in the Library this morning. Mrs Daujotis is our 'Schools as Community Centres' Officer and runs many wonderful programs for parents and preschoolers through 'Harmony House' which is attached to our school. Please contact Mrs Daujotis if you would like to know more about getting involved in our school community or take a look on her blog under 'Up and Coming Events'. http://harmony1.edublogs.org/ Have a great weekend. Mrs Clift Hi Stage 2,
