And now it's time for the news..... Auburn North Style!

Hi Auburn North,

Stage 3 has had a whole lot of fun video conferencing between the ANTEC and Library this term.

The classes have been learning about 'Current Events' so Stage 3's very clever teachers came up with the idea to create a news broadcast that students would present LIVE to the studio audience watching in the Library!

5B, 6L, 5L and 6C have produced hilarious, fun- filled, action-packed news items including local, national and international news, interviews, ad breaks, fashion shows, weather reports, celebrity gossip, dance items and sports reports...to name a few!

6C added a new segment to their live broadcast in the form of the Biography Channel. They pre- recorded an interview with our Principal, Mr Harris, and included it in their VC.

The reporters (journalists) Noor, Mohammad and Gerald asked Mr Harris fantastic questions such as:

  • What's the best thing about being a Principal?
  • What is the worst thing about being a Principal?
  • What job would you have chosen if you weren't a school Principal?
  • What do you do in your spare time?
If you missed the VC you can watch the 'Biography Channel' and 6C’s interview here. (The link is FINALLY active!)

If you were a reporter, what questions would you ask Mr Harris?

What have you enjoyed about video conferencing?
What segments did you find entertaining?
What have you learned?

I am looking forward to watching 5/4 M's broadcast on Thursday and then 6T's the following. I wonder what creative gems they will come up with.

And that's all we have time for. Be sure to tune in again soon!
I'm Mrs Clift
Goodnight

Hi everyone,

4/3 S have been predicting the answers that Mr Harris might have said during his interview. We wonder if the answers will be the same.

1) What is the best thing about being a Principal?
You get free food from the canteen.(Mohammed)
You get to boss people around. (Hadiqa)

2) What is the worst thing about being a Principal?
You have too much to do(Murtaza)
You have to worry about too many things(Mariam)

3) What job would you have chosen if you weren't a school Principal?
An Accountant ( Amana)
A Teacher ( Sarah)
A Footy Player (Saud)
A Scientist (Alp)

4) What do you do in your spare time?
Plays football (Rachel)
Watch TV (Ruqaya)
Drinks coffee at a cafe (Jem)

We hope our predictions are correct!

See you later

Hi everyone,

I'm having a few technical issues uploading the video but hopefully it won't be long.

I really enjoyed 5/4 M's VC today. It was SPECTACULAR! They even did an encore performance for year 6.

I wish all news reports on TV were as funny and entertaining as theirs.

The DJ's were hilarious, the anchors dynamic, the costumes fantastic!
All reporters did a GREAT job delivering their news in clear expressive voices.

I'm not sure if I can pick a favourite segment... Can you?

Congratulations Mrs McShane, Mr Drobnak and 5/4 M on such a wonderful, entertaining, dynamic performance!
