Hello Auburn North,
CONGRATULATIONS to these two fabulous students from 5M who entered the comprehension competition on the front page of the 'Books In Homes' catalogue.
Both students received a prize box of books, certificate and letter of congratulations which read:
We are very pleased to announce that you are one of 25 winners of the "Andrew Daddo" competition held in term 2, 2013.
Books In Homes Australia received over 600 entries from all over Australia so you should be very proud of your outstanding entry!!!
Enjoy your prize.
What a fantastic effort.
P.S Your Operation Artwork looks spectacular as well.
Hi Auburn North,
Many thanks to Mrs Saleh and the literacy team for hosting the Book Giving Ceremony for Term 2.
Laura, the National Schools' Coordinator from Books in Homes, a special guest author, Lynda Calder, and a representative from UWS attended the action packed assembly. Students read poetry, received their book bags, received awards for completing the comprehension competition on the front of the brochure and 2M and the NAP students sang a FANTASTIC song inspired from the students of Ocoee Middle School in the US.
You did such a great job that Laura asked if Auburn North would like to feature on the next BIH catalogue which will be out in Term 4! Exciting stuff. Well done everyone.
Pick up that book!
And turn the page!
You'll never know
